Long Term Care

For residents who require temporary or indefinite stays at our care home, Highfields has highly qualified staff who care for residents needs 24 hours a day, all year round. It is often provided to people who need care for everyday activities such as bathing, eating and dressing. The reasons are often due to poor health, on-going medical conditions or aging. Regardless of the reason for long-term care, we will make sure the resident feels right at home during their stay and above all else, happy.

Respite Care

Due to the demanding impacts that full time care can have, even just a few hours per week of respite can provide a carer with much needed rest and time to continue with their own lives. We are here to help people in this situation by offering one-on-one care at times to suit you. If you want a change of scenery you can come to us, or we can come and see you at your home if you prefer.

Intermediate Care

Our intermediate care unit is offered for rehabilitation and referrals through the NHS. Whether the resident has suffered from illness or other problems, Highfields Nursing Home is a great place to rehabilitate. We create rehab goals and we monitor the progression of our residents so that they are fit to return to their normal lives following their stay. Our trained staff are multidisciplined so you can be assured that residents will receive the same level of healthcare as hospital staff would be able to provide, but in a much more comfortable and less intense environment.

Day Care

People who would rather visit Highfields on a daily basis and then return to their homes should choose our day care services. All members will receive the same level of care as residents and our activities program will ensure their days are filled with enjoyment and care suited to their own individual requirements.

Dementia Care

When a loved one becomes a victim of a dementia related illness, it can be very stressful and difficult for the whole family to cope with the demands that this situation can create. For those who are suffering from long term illnesses such as Alzheimer's disease, Highfields Nursing Home will ensure residents receive the proper specialist care that is required for people with such conditions to live with regular treatment and attention. Our specialists are medically trained meaning family and friends can have peace of mind.
